It is possible to heal, feel better about yourself, and feel more alive. Allow me to journey with you in finding hope and taking steps towards change.
Life demands and responsibilities can often put heavy burdens on us. Traumatic experiences can affect the way we feel, relate to others, and can change how we see ourselves. In therapy, we can identify which parts of your life need to be healed, strengthened and/or changed. Once we identify those areas, we can walk together in the journey of recovery.
Psychotherapy is a deeply personal and vulnerable process. My focus is for you to feel seen, safe, and accepted. I also recognize that each person has their own timeline in healing and progress. I believe that, in time, you will be able to experience a fuller life based on your values and goals.
I take a collaborative and culturally sensitive stance in which I take your perspective, culture, identities, and past experiences seriously. I also tend to approach therapy with humor (whenever possible), humility, and openness.

My clinical expertise includes addressing anxiety, depression, stress, grief / loss, trauma (either/both in childhood and adulthood), identity development, spiritual concerns, life transitions, relational struggles and acculturation difficulties.
I am a cisgender heterosexual Asian American female. I have experience working with culturally diverse individuals and families. I use an integrative approach consisting of psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and humanistic frameworks to provide individualized care. This includes integrating the Christian faith into psychotherapy if the client desires.
I provide individual therapy with adults and emerging adults. I also provide family therapy consisting of parents with adult children. I have been privileged to work with diverse individuals across the lifespan. I have a special interest in working with women, BIPOC communities, immigrants (1st, 1.5, and 2nd generation), missionaries, religious concerns, and individuals who have experienced trauma. I have specialized training in working with women who experienced domestic and intimate partner abuse, and trauma.
I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology from Biola University. I earned my undergraduate degree (BS in Psychology) at the Georgia Institute of Technology with a minor in International Affairs.
I completed my APA-accredited Doctoral Internship in Health Service Psychology at the Loma Linda VA Health Care System.
